Providing over 20 species of clumping bamboo, our bamboo is featured on large commercial projects like Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios Toy Story, Universal Orlando's Endless Summer Resort and other Central Florida theme park destinations, at indoor gardens like the ambitious project at the Cleveland Museum of Art, on residential landscape projects like privacy hedges, as well as Landscape Companies, Architects and Garden Centers looking for a tropical, focal point accent for their customers. Our team caters not only to professional landscape companies who recognize the value bamboo plants bring to the environment but also other nurseries and agricultural businesses.

New Shoots Bamboo’s owners, Chip Barney and Devon Robinson, are both second generation nurserymen who had a vision for bamboo’s future in Florida landscapes and as a growing industry in the U.S.A. They opened New Shoots Bamboo for commercial wholesale in 2006 after allocating 22 acres to the endeavor from their 4000-acre ranch and tree farm. In 2011, New Shoots Bamboo was featured on the TV show Extreme Makeover and the attention received was instrumental in creating awareness of bamboo for homeowners who turned to garden centers and landscape contractors to supply bamboo for their residential projects. Today, New Shoots Bamboo encompasses 30 acres and ships bamboo worldwide.

The New Shoots Bamboo Nursery team is passionate about bamboo and the unique qualities that each plant and species possess. Located in Stuart, Florida, our 30-acre nursery showcases spectacular field grown plants and container grown tropical clumping bamboo that range in sizes from 3 to 45 gallon along with a tropical paradise landscaped garden feature area.
